"Van Trump Falls is a waterfall on Van Trump Creek in Pierce County, Washington. The falls are located a short distance downstream from the mouth of Falls Creek.http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/waterfall.php?num=895 Stature The falls start off by dropping 40 feet in a simple plunge before fanning out and falling 80 feet into a short but deep canyon. After flowing through the canyon the falls drop another 50 feet in two horsetails. The lower tiers were significantly altered by the floods of 2001 while neither tier was altered much by the floods of 2003 and 2006. Accessing the upper tiers can be sketchy since one has to stand at the edge of the canyon, 150 feet above the raging creek, to see them. Reaching the base of the falls is almost as bad, as one has to climb down a slick and slippery rock face to reach it. "Captain Thomas Harwood (died 1652) was a Virginia soldier, landowner and politician. He served multiple terms as a burgess in the 1630s and 1640s, and was "one of the chieff of the Mutinous Burgesses" who expelled Governor Sir John Harvey in 1635. "The Sheer Islands are Canadian arctic islands that are located in Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut, Canada. They are a Baffin Island offshore island group in Hudson Strait. The islands are situated approximately north of Cape Tanfield and form part of the north side of Itivirk Bay. The group consists of: * Forder Island, at the northern entrance to Itivirk Bay * Lee Island, northeast of Forder Island and joined to it at low tide * Lavoie Island, in the northeast * Wishart Island, in the northeast. Kimmirut, Nunavut, an Inuit hamlet, is about to the northwest.
