"Musa Sarkin Adar (born May 15, 1965) is a Nigerian lawmaker elected as member of the Federal House of Representative representing Goronyo/Gada Federal Constituency. Biography He attended Government Teachers College, Binji, where he obtained a Grade 2 Teachers Certificate in 1982. He then proceeded to the Uthmanu dan Fodiyo University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1988. Prior to becoming a member of the House of Representative, he was a Director in the Governor's Office, Sokoto and he worked at the Nigerian Ports Authority Apapa Lagos and was their Personnel Manager. It is worthy to note that in 2007 elections, he contested for the House of Representative and won. He was re-elected for another term in the 2011 elections. In the 2011 Speakership contest he spearheaded the movement against Ruling party's imposition of speaker in which Hon Mulikat Akande Abiola who was favoured by the then Ruling Party lost the speakership to Right Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. He also made the nomination for Emeka Ihedioha as the deputy speaker on the floor of the house and the nomination was seconded by Hon Kumo. He attended the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) New York, United States of America 2014 where he was an adviser. He has also attended several leadership courses and summits , he attended a leadership course in Cleveland, Ohio in 2016 which was sponsored by the US Government. He is the Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream in the 9th Assembly, he was previously chairman house committee on Electoral Matters in the 6th Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Land Transport in the 7th Assembly. He was also a member of the Marine Transport committee and Communications. He has laid several motions on the floor of the house and always speaks for the unity of the country and contributes to debated on matters that will impact the development of youths in the areas of education and employment. Prior to the 2019 General election, he was the chairman APC Parliamentary support group , As the chairman of parliamentary support group he led them to visit president muhammadu buhari, Speaking with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the group, Musa Sarkin Adar said > “We looked at the concerns within the country and the various political > parties because election is approaching and we members of APC in the > National Assembly felt that it is necessary to come and interface with Mr. > president and the national chairman of the party to address issues and > concerns raised by members across the federation. > “From the previous experiences of the previous Assembly which we were > opportune to be members then, we know what happened and we know what it > caused the country. We explained to him the idea of zonal > intervention or what is called constituency projects; that it is not money > given to us, but projects worth millions of naira that we should only site > where it should be sited in our various constituencies and it is one of the > most unifying factor of this country. "Harold Geller (1916-2005) was an Australian-born American conductor and composer. Early life Harold Geller was born on February 23, 1916 in Sydney, Australia. Career Geller was a conductor for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. He subsequently composed music for films like Trio, Jungle Street, Fury at Smugglers' Bay and The Mistress. He also composed music for Velvet, a Spanish television series, in 2014-2015. Harold Geller spent most of his career in Great Britain, giving hundreds of broadcasts for the BBC with his fourteen piece orchestra in programmes such as 'Music While You Work' and 'Morning Music'. He composed many light orchestral pieces as well as a concerto for mandolin and orchestra featuring Hugo D'Alton (one of Britain's top mandolin players). He recorded an album conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra entitled "Play For You" for Pye Records. During the 1970s, he worked for Chappell Music Publishers in London as a promotion man for their music and song catalogue. Personal life With his wife Ruth, Geller has a son, Laurence Geller, who is a real estate investor, author and philanthropist, and a daughter, Roslynn Marre. They resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. Geller became a Freemason. Death Geller died on February 27, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
